The bar chart demonstrates the average class size figure of primary school and lower secondary school in 2006. Researched in 6 different countries and an average of the whole world.

Overall, class size was different around the world and South Korea had the largest number of children in 1 class. While Iceland had the smallest. Countries with large class sizes tend to have larger classes in lower secondary school and other countries were opposite.

In Korea, the average class size was around 35 pupils per class in both primary and lower secondary schools. In contrast, Iceland's class size on average of both types was only about 60% compared to Korea, at 20 per class. There were only 18 members in the lower secondary class in the UK, which was the smallest class size. There was a huge gap between two school systems in Mexico, the lower secondary school usually had ten more students than the primary school.
