The bar chart shows type of media to get daily news, by age group in 2011
The bar chart compares the percentage of people in different age who update daily news through three types of media: social networking, microblogging and radio in 2011
It can be seen that radio was the most popular device which used by age group. However, microblogging was used less in three types of media.
With regard to social networking, 80% both people aged 10-17 and 18-29 used social media to get daily news, while the figure for the 50 to 54 years old was only half of 80%. The proportion of using microblogging was lowest, just only 20% people aged 10-17 used. And the number of people who read miro blogs to update news in daily plateued from 20% to 10%.
On the other hand, the figure for radio which the most popular device for almost people. While people aged 10-17 used radio was only 40%, the percentage of the 18-28 years old was significantly increased to around 90%. The people aged 30-49 and 50-54 years old had similar proportion
