The chart below illustrates information on the number of hours spent on working per week by industrial sector in France, Sweden, Denmark and the UK in 2002. In general, a smaller percentage of workers in France spent 36-40 hours for working than in other countries
According to the chart, most of workers in France only used 31-35 hours to work and it accounted for a half of the workers (50%). the second largest portion of people who worked for 36-40 hours was almost 35%. On the other hand, Denmark, Sweden and the UK witnessed the highest ratio of people working for 36-40 hours, which was quite different from that of France. The second and the third place came from 31-35 hours and 41-45 hours workers ( 25% and 10% in Denmark; 35% and 30% in Sweden.
In the UK, the first place was like Denmark and Sweden. The second highest fraction of working hour per week in the UK was more than 50 hours workers. The number of 46-50 hours and 41-45 hours per week constituted nearly 20% and about 14% respectively.
To sum up, workers in France spent the least of times for working. Whereas, in other countries worked 36-40 hours per week
