Regarding texting online, which is apparently more favored by girls, with 70% of them doing this every day, 35% for 1 to 3 hours and 10% for more than 4 hours of online conversation. While the figures for boys are just approximately 55% in total and the rest figures consist of nearly half of those for girls ( 25% and 5% respectively ). The percentage for each or both genders are the same when it comes to less than an hour of online chatting with 25%
By contrast, 85% of 10 to 15-years-old boys engage in playing console games and approximately 45% of them play in 1-3 hours, nearly doubling that of girls ( about 50% and 15% respectively ). However, more girls play games console when it is under an hour ( 35% ), while the figures for boys and all of them are almost even at 30%. Finally, not many teenagers prefer to play games console for more than 4 hours as the figures for boys, girls and both are not over 10%
