The chart below shows the expenditure on three categories among different age groups of residents in the UK in 2004. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

Given is a bar chart depicting the aggregate expenditure on three separate categories among distinct age groups in the UK in 2004.
Perceptible, the total expenses of food and beverage and entertainment overshadowed the restaurant’s figure in the over-60s age while the opposite was true for the remaining ages.
In terms of the sums of money spent by the under-60 people, the proportion spent for F&B seems to surge uninterruptedly across their ages which was 6%, 13% and 17% respectively for the under-30s, the 31 to 35-year-olds and the 46 to 60-year-olds. Meanwhile, the 46 to 60-year-olds showed their strong bias for entertainment with 14% of total expenses recorded in comparison to 7% in other 2 age groups. Likewise, aggregate expenditure on restaurants and hotels are likely to gain traction from these age groups with about 13 to 14% recorded.
Regarding the over-60, there was a corresponding trend for F&B figures witnessed with 20% and 23%. Strikingly, the sum spending for entertainment in the 61 to 75-year-olds which exceeded by 10% the over-76s’ figure had a similar percentage to the F&B spent by the oldest age group. In contrast, these age groups seem not to be fond of restaurant and home expenditure with only 2% and 6% recorded respectively with increasing age groups.
