In comparison, people rarely ate at fast food restaurants everyday and this pattern remained constant over the years
In the year of 2003, only 4% people ate at fast food restaurants every day. This figure saw a dramatic rise with about 16% of the people eating at fast food restaurants several times a week. And then it reached to nearly to a third with 31% people preferring to dine out at fast food restaurants once a week. The preference of going out to eat fast food once or twice a month came to a close second with 30% people preferring this option. But there was a sharp drop in these figures as only about 13% of the people went to fast food restaurants few times a year and 5% people never dining out at restaurants.
In the year of 2006, a tiny fraction of people (3%) liked to eat out at fast food restaurants every day. While 20% of the people ate out several times a week, the amount peaked at 33% people preferring to eat out once a week. Like 2003, the figure experienced a gradual drop again after the “once a week” option. Only 25%, 15% and 4% people visited restaurants once or twice a month , a few times a year and never respectively.
In the year of 2013, while only 3% people had their meals at restaurants every day , almost 16% people preferred eating out several times of the week. This number experienced a gradual rise with 27% people dining out once a week and 33% people dining out once or twice per month. Then the number significantly dropped to 15% for the option of eating out “a few times a year”. And a small minority (4%) did not eat at fast food restaurants at all.
