The chart below shows the most important causes of stress for different age groups in Canada

The histogram illustrates four major roots leading to stress among people of different ages in Canada.
Overall, overwork and finance are the main causes of stress for adults aged 25-54; however, as people age, they are less likely to be worried about money and workload problems but have higher tendency to raise concern towards health matters or for non-defined reasons.
The chart clearly communicates that a quarter of people at the age of 25-54 faces stress stemming from heavy workload; this is the most common origin of stress for this age group followed by poor financial stability, at 15%. The similar patterns are carried out among 55-64 aged people with 15% of the 55-64s being anxious about excessive working and 13% of them experiencing stress from unstable financial statement. By contrast, these problems only affect a minority of people above 65, with statistics reaching below 7%.
The majority of those aged over 65 specified no exact reason for stress, at more than 32%, followed by distress resulting from health; this is the second main steam of stress impacting 15% of the 65-74s and 23% of those aged over 75. Conversely, these factors are not of noticeable concern for the youngest group with figure arriving at less than 7%. Likewise, health-related issues are culpable for minor anxiety among the 55-64s, being mentioned by 10% while a higher proportion of these people suffer stress based on no specific reasons, at 17%.
