The bar chart gives information about trips made by individuals of both sexes in a country from Europe in 2007. The chart not only visualizes the number of trips made by men and women and gives insight into their plans prior to their trips.
As can be pointed out in the chart, the number of day trips made by men exceeded the ones made by women (around 40 compared to 30). This is followed by the fact that the number of trips made by men for entertainment purposes is equally superior (140 against 130). However, several activities such as visiting friends and shopping were especially prioritized by women. To be more specific, more than 200 trips to see friends were made by women, whereas those made by men fell behind at just below 200. Similarly, up to 280 shopping trips were made by women, while only 190 trips were made by men. Finally, the number of business trips made by men was astoundingly high, as the chart recorded as high as 330 trips. This heavily surpassed the ones made by women, which only reached just over 200 trips.
A glance at the chart reveals that the number of trips made by men, especially for entertainment and business, are far more superior to the ones made by women. Meanwhile, activities such as interacting with friends and shopping received way less attention from men.
