The following chart depicts the number of journey made by an adult in one country between the years from 1990 to 2010 by using various mode of transportation.

At the first glance, it is clear that in 1990s all individuals prefer to walk. However, In 20th century cycling was least favourite.

To begin with, In 1990 the most accessible mode was walking which was quite above 12 million trips per year. However, least used mode was car passengers as it stands in between 4 and 6 million trips for the year. Furthermore, the other three modes of transportation remain approximately around 6 million trips for the whole year.

To the other hand, for the 20th century, car passengers stand on top for around 11 million trips per year, which then decreased almost half for walking passengers and least for cycling that holds 2 million trips per annum. Additionally, a gradually increase was shown for walking and bus modes which hold in between 3 to 5 million trips per year.
