The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in the year 1999.
The pie chart compares the proportion of visitors patronising four different tourist attractions in Britain in 1999.
Overall, theme parks and museums or galleries were among the most popular destinations in 1999. In addition, tourists favored attending Blackpool Pleasure Beach over other actual attractions at theme parks.
It is clear that 38% of surveyed visitors went to the theme parks, which accounted for the highest percentage of the attendance, and tourists visiting the museums or galleries also made up 37%. Even though just only 16% of participants paid attention to the historic houses or monuments, this figure nearly doubled the wildlife parks or zoos’ proportion.
According to the investigation, at theme parks, Blackpool Pleasure Beach was the most viewed destination, with 47% of attendees participating in this game, while the statistics for the remaining types of attractions were well under 20%. To be precise, Alton Towers and Pleasureland, Southport attracted 17% and 16% of visitors respectively, but each only 10% of tourists spent time at the Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland, Windsor.
