The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002

The bar chart gives information about the length (in billions minutes) of three telephone call kinds in Great Britain between 1995 and 2000.

It is clear that the regional calls with fixed line was by far longest during the research period. Additionally, the figure for mobile calls experienced the most significant increase in three groups.

In 1995, British people spent about 72 billion minutes on local calls, while this figure for domestic and international calls was 38 billions minutes. By contrast, there were just approximately 2 billion minutes called by mobiles, which is the lowest figure shown on the chart.

The time people in the UK spent on regional - fixed calls witnessed a steady increase to the peak of 90 billion minutes in 1999, then it declined consistently to the 1995 number in 2002. In contrast, the figure for national and oversea - fixed line and mobiles went up gradually to their own peak in 2002, at around 61 and 45 billion minutes respectively.
