The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The bar graph compares the amount of time (in billions) of phone calls, in the UK, separated into three call types, between 1995 and 2002.

Overall, the several minutes in local, fixed lines were always higher than the two types remain which increased continuously over the periods.

Between 1995 and 1999, there was a stable rise in the some minutes in local calls from just above 70 to reach a peak of 90 billion. Besides, the national and international calls climbed slowly from half of the number in local calls to 50 billion minutes, and this figure in mobile phones also went up slightly from 3 to less than 7 times of the amount in local calls.

From 1999 to 2000, the several minutes in mobiles, national and international increased steadily from 50 and 12 to just over 60 and 48 billion, respectively. In contrast, there was a rapid decrease in the some minutes in local calls from the highest point to 72 billion.
