The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
The bar chart compares the value of five categories of export products from a certain country between 2015 until 2016 (measured in billion dollars) whilst the table illustrates the change of each category in percentage.
Overall only germs and jewelry that experienced a downward trend while others (petroleum products, engineered goods, agricultural products and textiles) witnessed a growth.
Petroleum and engineered products were the two most exported products. In 2015, the country earned over $60 billion from petroleum and slightly lower than $60 billion from engineered goods. Although the value of engineered products were smaller than that of petroleum, it increased significantly by 8.5% in the next year. Meanwhile, petroleum only rose by 3%. Therefore, the value of these two categories were almost the same in 2016.
Interestingly, despite textiles had the lowest value, below $30 billion in 2015, this type underwent the highest improvement by 15.24% in 12 months. Nevertheless, the earning from germs and jewelry declined by 5.18% in 2016. Finally, agricultural products, which stood at just over $30 billion in 2015, only rose by below 1% in 2016.
