The given bar chart compares information about 7 different categories in employment of US workers between 2003 and 2013.
Overall, while the data of hotel industry, business, self employed and unemployed experienced the upward trend over the period, the opposite was true for the remaining. It can also be seen that the proportion of business, self employed and unemployed are much higher than the others.
With regard to the chart, the figure for self employed was more than 40% in 2003, which was twice as the proportion of business. The data of self employed and business then rose quickly to 30% and 50% respectively. Standing at less than 20% in 2003, the number of American adults who were unemployed rose dramatically to nearly 40% in the period of 10 years.
On the other hand, the data for training of education, medical and building witnessed the same trend as decreased from 5% in 2003 to about 2% in 2013. In contrast, there was a slight growth from approximately 2% to 5% in the number of hotel industry.
