The bar chart compares four different nations, namely the UK, the US, Korea, and France, in terms of changes in the money market index value at the end of the year between 2006 and 2008.
Overall, it is clear that the US market index (Dow Jones) was the highest position in the money market index value among the four countries throughout the period given. While, in comparison, the lowest account holder was the Korean money index (KOSPI) in all the years. Additionally, the other two countries had an increase slightly in money index value with an exception of the final year.
As can be seen from the chart, in 2005 the US money market was at the top of four countries with 11000 units, which reached the peak point in 2007 with 13500 units before plummeting by 5000 units to nearly 8500 units in 2008. Whereas the index value of Korea accounted for just approximately 1500 units in 2005 and 2006, decreasing to 1000 units in 2008 after reaching approximately 2000 units in 2007.
In comparison, the UK Market Index (FTSE 100) experienced a modest increase in three years, it was around 6000 units, which dropped by 2000 units in 2008. Similarly, there was a mild fluctuation in the French CAC 40 money market, starting at 4500 units in 2005 to around 6000 units in 2007, then it dropped to around 3500 in the following year.
