The chart shows the percentage of car manufacturer's total sales in North America, South America, Europe and Asia
The bar chart compares the portions of the total car sales earned by the car manufacturer in 4 regions between 2006 and 2010.
Generally, South America accounted for the least proportion of 4 areas’ overall car sales for 4 years. In addition, Europe was the only region showing a rise in the whole period shown.
In 2006, Asia was prominent in total car sales with 35%, compared to a quarter of Europe. The figure for North and South America were 29% and 11%, respectively. In the following year, while Europe made a 9% increase in its portion, North and South America experience a 6% decrease each and the percentage of Asia remained stable.
The year 2008 witnessed minor changes in the percentage of car manufacturer’s total car sales but the year 2009, however, saw significant differences in those figures. Indeed, North American and Asia lose 13% and 8% of their proportions in 2009 in comparison to 2008, while South America gained a 5% rise in the same period. Especially, Europe leapt from 34% to 50% of the total car sales, the highest proportion among 4 regions of all time.
