Based on the findings of a survey, the bar chart illustrates the rate of car producer’s total sales in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Overall, the proportion of Asia sales was on the rise while the opposite was true in South America. Additionally, Asia and Europe remained the company’s major markets throughout the years.
In 2006, Asia and Europe shared comparable figures at 30%, just 1% higher than in South America. By contrast, the lowest ratio was sold in North America, at only 30%. In the next 2 years, the figure for cars sold in both Asia and Europe increased significantly, with Europe sales got the highest point at 38% respectively. Meanwhile, the remaining regions decreased gradually during the period.
In 2010, the proportion of cars sold in Asia peaked at 50% while the sales in North America dropped to 5% in 2009 before coming back to the original number. Europe and South America had declined dramatically to 30% and 9% respectively.
