The bar chart compares the proportion of passing the driving test between women and men over the period of 30 years in one Asian country.
It can be seen from the graph that there was the same pattern in the first 20 years in both percentages men and women, but the figure for women reached a peak in 2000.
In 1980, the rate of women who passed their driving test stood at 48%, which is twice as high as this rate of men. In the next 10 years, this figure increased slightly to about 62% before rising again, but more sharply, to a peak of well under 70% in 2000. After that, It was off the peak by 4% in the last 10 years.
By contrast, the percentage of man was just short of 30% in 1980. Then rises dramatically to 49%, nearly two-thirds of the women in 2000. During the last 10 years, the figure had no change with 49%.
