The given chart illustrates the proportion of people of two genders in an Asian nation passing their driving test between 1980 and 2010. Overall, it can be seen from the graph that the percentage of people who passed the driving test in both men and women saw an upward trend over the period shown. In 1980, the percentage of people who passed the driving test was the lowest in both genders, with 49% of women and 29% of men. From 1980 to 1990, there was a slight increase in the percentage of women who passed the driving test by 2%. On the other hand, this percentage of man had a substantial rise by 9% to 38%. There was a dramatic climb between 1990 and 2000 in the percentage of women passing the driving test from 51% to 69%. However, this percentage had a slight fall for the first time in 30 years by 6%. For men, this percentage from 2000 to 2010 had no change, at 49% and be the highest figure of men in the period shown. In conclusion, the percentage of people passing the driving test increased every year and will continue to be higher in the next few years.
