The given bar chart illustrates percentages of renewable energy of the whole energy generation in 4 different nations beginning with 1997 and ending in 2010.

Overall, the amount of renewable energy supplied in both Iceland and Sweden saw an upward trend over the three examined years. In addition, Iceland’s statistics were the highest in comparison with Australia, Sweden and Turkey.

Iceland produced the greatest proportion of renewable energy which accounted for 45% (1997) then went up to 70% (2010). Ranked at the second is Turkey with its peak at 40% (2000), besides, in 1997 and 2010, this country supplied around 30% and 40%. Following are Australia and Sweden, the amount of renewable energy production of these two countries did not exceed 10% over the three years investigated.

It is clear that both Iceland and Sweden had a jump in supplying renewable energy. In contrast, during this time, Australia saw the opposite trend, its statistics fell down from nearly 10% to 5% and Turkey remained fluctuating around 30% and 40%.
