The chart shows the results of surveys in one African country asking teenagers the main reasons for using their phones between 2016 and 2019

The four pie charts give the information of the purpose in using smartphones of students in African country through the survey which took place in 2016 to 2019.

It is clearly that almost teenagers spending time on social networks when they were with their phones, which accounted for nearly 50% of the proportion. Email, digital camera and phone calls are the rest three purposes that teenagers use their phones and it also played an important role in the pie chart.

In 2016, social networks was accounted for 50% but it had a slightly drop to 48% in the year after. However, in the next two years, which means 2019, the percentage of the same background increased 8% from 48% to 56%, more than a half of the chart. The second reason that people in the age between 13 and 19 used their phones at that moment was foremail, which stood at 25% in 2016 and drop 6% in the last year of survey ( 19% ). Digital cameras and phone calls were used but less than social medias and email. In 2016, digital cameras accounted for 15%, compared to 10% in phone calls and it is clear to see that in four years, digital cameras always had higher percentage than phone calling. Through 2017, 2018 and 2019, although digital cameras increased more and more by day, phone calls decreased from 13% to only 5% and it was also the smallest proportion of the chart.
