<span style="font-size: 19.36px;">Given are three pie charts comparing average portions of three different ingredients in typical meals in the United States. These three nutrients are sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, which may be harmful to people's health if intaken excessively.
People consume nearly half of daily sodium intake during dinner and roughly a third that of lunch. The remaining sodium consumption is distributed evenly in breakfast and snacks, 14 percent, to be exact. Saturated fat, shows a similar pattern with sodium, is consumed mostly during dinner and lunch, 37 percent and 26 percent, respectively. However, saturated fat contained in snacks is 5 percent higher than that in breakfast.
Added sugar, on the other hand, is taken much more in the snacks than other meals. Compared to about a quarter in dinner, 42 percent of added sugar is consumed in snack eating. The remaining two meals account for less than one fifth that of daily added sugar.</span><br>
