The bar chart illustrates the climb in the population from the year 1970 to 2010. Report was taken from world's top five metro cities including urban and rural areas.
In the year 1970, Tokyo had largest number of population than its compatriots. Followed by New York, Shanghai, Bombay and least figure of Jakarta accounting 14, 11, 5 and 3 receptively. Where as the ratio was enhance for Tokyo, Bombay, Jakarta with 24, 13 and 9. New York and Shanghai describe marginal growth in the time period of 20 years.
However, in the year 2010 there was dramatically change appears. The report suggest in the span of 20 years Bombay and Jakarta population doubled in 2010 than of 1990. Shanghai population reflects gradual rise to be ranked third among five cities.
To conclude, Bombay and Tokyo projected almost equivalent rate of population in the year 2010. New York population rise little-by-little and became least populated country in the year 2010. Bombay reported most crowded cities in 40 years.
