All in all, male and female were interested in different genre of films in 2010, by the way action movie was the most famous one for American people.
Looking at details, action was at the top of popularity in among of both men and women, constituting 40 and 25 respectively. However, the obvious contrast can be seen in the romantic comedy as it was different: for female 30 and for men 5. Other types of film such as comedy and western movies contained the similar popularity in both sex with 20 and 10 respectively.
In addition that, the percentage of ticket sales in USA contributed to almost a half for action movie (49%) as well as nearly a quarter for comedy (24%). However, 12% was for romantic comedy and 10% was for thriller. And only 5% of tickets was sold for other types of film.
