The pictures below illustrate a current landscape of centre of Islip city and what changes the city will undergo in the future.
By and large, it can be seen that the future view of town will be transformed substantially, being noticeably filled with new buildings.
Looking at maps, we see that the main road which crosses centre will be removed and there will be dual carriageway surrounding the city centre. And, instead of road, the pedestrian path will be introduced. According to plan, although the shops located in south of main road remain constant , the shops in the opposite side will be removed to make way for bus station, shopping centre and car park with expanded area to the north where now you can see countryside.
Also, there will be reduction with park territory owing to new way, while the expansion of school, located in southwest of map, is planning. One further development will be new places for housing in both sides of pedestrian path.
