The provided bar graphs illustrate the difference of student’s gender registered in three educational levels in 1990 and 2000.
It is noticeable that the number of girls increased continuously related to the degree of education in developed countries, whereas these figures in developing countries were decreased.
Regarding primary school, more female students in developed countries than in developing countries, by about 10% in both 1990 and 2000, enrolled in school. This contrast was clearly higher in secondary education. In developed countries, as many girls as boys register to study in school, while the number of girl students in developing countries declined to 72% and 82% in 1990 and 2000 respectively.
A similar trend was seen in tertiary school. There were more female students than males in developed countries, by 5% in 1990 and 12% in 2000. On the contrary, in developing countries, females were much lower than males, by 34% in 1990 and 25% in 2000.
In conclusion, the number of girls in developed countries were more than in developing countries in all levels of education.
