The given chart exhibits the proportion of people working in certain fields in two towns, A and B in 1960 and 2010.
Overall, in town A, only Services experienced an upward pattern in the percentage of people working in, while in town B, only the percentage of workers in Manufacturing declined.
As can be seen from the chart of town A, during the time of the half of century, both Manufacturing and Sales witnessed decreases in the quantity of people working in, from 41% to 20% and 30% to 16%, respectively. However, the opposite trend happened in the proportion of people in the Services field, which started from the last rank (29%) and rised nearly double to rank first (64%).
Turning to the map of town B, during the period, the percentage of people working in Sales increased slightly by 2% (22% in 2010), while that proportion in Services went up to 25% in 2010 and surpassed the quantity in Sales. However, the percentage of workers in Manufacturing declined from 70% to 53%, comprised a half of the whole chart but still held the first rank.
