This pie graph illustrates the proportion of individuals working for various volunteer organizations over the year 2008 and 2014.
Overall, it is obvious that voluntary work for education accounted for the highest percentage in 2008. On the contrary, the data shows that health care services seemed to be the least favorite in 2008.
Volunteer work related to environmental conservation and education accounted for approximately 24 % and 21% of voluntary work in 2008. On the other hand, the number of individuals who volunteered in sport and art organizations was nearly the same, at about 15% and 18%. Only 7 percent of the population participated in healthcare, which is the lowest.
In 2014, 29% and 25% people were reported to join in volunteering in environmental and sport related organizations, which made these two types of voluntary work the highest. The chart shows a contrast, however, with only 8% of individuals participating in health care centers. This clearly indicates that more people are interested in volunteering for environmental and sport related organizations than for health care centers. This is a concerning statistic, as health care centers provide vital services to the community and need volunteers to run effectively.
