The given charts illustrate the way in which water is allocated for 3 major categories of usage in 6 regions of the world.
It is obvious that while agricultural use accounts for most of the water in 4 areas, the 2 other places distribute much of this natural resource for industrial purpose.
In Central asia, a staggering 88% of water is spent on agriculture but at the same time, only about one-sevenths of thatt amount is specified for 2 other purposes including industrial and domestic use. Similarly, people make most use of water on this category in Africa, south america and south east asia with 84%, 71% and 81% respectively. However, the most significant feature occurs in south east asia when nearly one-thirds of total water use is attributed to industry and households, which differentiates them from the 3 aforementioned regions whose water usage for these 2 sections doesn't exceed 25%.
On the other hand, agriculture isn't the key factor in north america and europe but this role comes to industry. To be more specific, nearly a half in total water usage belongs to industrial purpose in north america while that figure of europe is 5% greater. Meanwhile, agriculture still shares a large portion in total as this constitutes 39% and 32% in north america and europe, respectively. Nevertheless, domestic use remained the least water-consuming section in 2 regions.
