The two pie charts compare the percentages of undergraduate in England who can talk about other languages besides english between the year 2000 to 2010.
it can be clearly seen a decrease of only speak english. Overall, the trend of speak other languages rises in general.
In 2000, the proportion of no other language is biggest with 30%, which was increased to 35% slightly in 2010. For french only, it declined by 5% softly from 15% to 10% during these ten years, whereas the British classmates who spoke spanish only were dropped from 20% to 10% significantly. Moreover, the remain unchanged circumstance occurred on people who spoke german only, it kept in 10%. As a result, the percentage of students who can speak french, german and spanish is the same at 2010.
The percentage of another language, besides french, german and spanish, is lightly increased by 5%, started from 15% in 2000 and ended at 20% in 2010. More undergraduates knew two other languages after ten years, from 10% rose to 15%.
