The charts give information about five various reasons why people in the US travel as well as the different travelling problems in the year of 2009.
Overall, the main reason for travelling of peole in the US is business reason, while the travelling cost is considered as the most fundamental issue for the travelling public.
In 2009, business reason was the most primary cause of travelling, at 49%, compared to personal reason - just under a half of this proportion, and social recreation, roughly one fifth of this figure. The figure for visitting friend and relative reason is the lowest one, only 6%.
Out of the six travelling problems, the proportion of travelling cost is the highest, at 36%, in comparison with the five other issues. The percentages of safe concerns bears a resemblance to the aggressive drivers' rates, at 19% and 17% respectively. The fifth proportion belongs to shopping reason, at 16%, and it is just one third of the to and from work percentages.
