Given are the two pie charts delineating the proportions of the global forest and timber based on regions.
It is conspicuous that the amount of forests in Africa is recorded as the largest of a total global forest while the opposite was true for Asia. Additionally, North America is the country with the largest amount of timber, by contrast, the figure for Africa is by far the lowest.
When it comes to forests, Africa constitutes 27% of the total global forest which makes it the most heavily forested region, followed by, North America heralding a quarter of the datasheet. In the interim, the forest cover rates of Europe, South America and Asia were a little bit less, with the figures amounting to 18%, 16% and 14%, respectively.
With the second pie chart, regarding the proportions of timber, North America produced the most timber at around 30%. Second, in terms of South America with only 23%, followed by Europe at 20% and Asia18%. Meanwhile, timber in Asia features 18% of world timber, which is half of that of North America and ranks last among the given regions.
