As detailed in the chart, Singaporean men in 2000 spent nearly 9 years in school, which is slightly higher than women, who spent precisely 8 years. In a ten-year period, the figure for women remained nearly the same for years 2002, 2004, and 2008 before showing a slight change by the year 2010, reaching about 9 years. On the contrary, men's attendance during the period was progressively increasing, reaching a peak of approximately 12 years by 2010.
According to the pie charts, over one-third of Singapore's population completed high school in 2000. Primary and secondary school enrollments were nearly comparable, at 26.3% and 25.77%, respectively, compared to roughly 8% studying for a master's degree. After ten years, Singaporeans had much greater levels of education, with just over the third holding college degrees and barely 2% having completed basic school.
