The line chart explains the number of speed cameras installed in Melbourne roads and corresponding percentage of accidents and death
occurred from the year 2002 to 2005. Although cameras are in place its their sole responsibilities to make sure safety driving and
smoother travel experience.
Firstly for the year 2002, the number of cameras are 30, accidents reaches peak point and decreased to 3% and death rates are
fluctuating and stays at 0.8%. During 2003, The cameras count is 40, can see slight increase in accidents to 3.2% and death rates
are decreasing and remains at 0.6%.
Secondly, In 2004 the cameras installed are 70, Accident and death rates also rise to 3.7% and 1%. This is the first time
the death rates reaches this point. The number of cameras went up to 140 to make sure safety transport but the accidents steadily
increasing and reaches 3.5% which is the largest value. And lastly the death rates reaches to a maximum of 1.8% and sweep decreased to 1.2%.
Overall the death rates reaches a greatest point of 1.5% by end of 2004 and accidents to 3.3% by 2005.
The numbers are increasing throughout the year even though more camera numbers are in place, because of advanced
motor cars and powerful vehicles. I think, The death rates will be decreased if police replaces them
