The charts show the main methods of transport of people travelling to one university in
2004 and 2009.
Summarise the information be selecting and reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.
The two pie charts depicted the primary ways of vehicles that have been used to transfer between different universities in 2004 and five years later in 2009. At first glance, it was clear that there is a fairly even distribution of various types of transport for people traveling to one university in 2004, especially by car. However, half a decade later, there was a significant change in the methods of traveling which relied much on buses instead of cars. In 2004, it is evident that cars made up over a half of the total transport at 51%. In close was bus at over a quarter of total 33%. The remaining 16% were illustrated by three sectors, bicycle, train and walking. Nevertheless, in the year 2009, using buses increased dramatically to nearly half of the total at 46%. Similarly, bicycles became more popular with a sharp rise by 7% to 16%. and two other sectors, train and walking, slowly rose by 1% or 2%. Conversely, cars drastically dropped to just over a quarter of the total at 28%. In summary, it can be seen that people rather use different transports which are environmentally friendly such as bus and bicycle than private vehicles.
