The pie charts illustrate the outcome of a survey emphasizing the reasons for doing MBA, as well as the specialties of MBA graduates that employers value most.

From an overall point of view, more than half of MBA graduates choose to accomplish this qualification in order to have better opportunities in their careers. Nevertheless, it is their personality and education that determines whether they sign up.
As is shown in the first chart, approximately two-thirds of MBA diplomates have this professional degree for the aforementioned reason. On the other hand, 12% and 15% of them doing MBA with the aim of enhancing themselves or their job performance, correspondingly. Merely 8% of these baccalaureates acquire MBA so that they may have the ability to help others.
As for the employer's perspective, personality and knowledge are two prerequisites when enrolling. According to the survey result, precisely a quarter of recruiters appreciate one of the above factors of the candidate. The second most valued determinants belong to the applicant's connections and appearance, with one-fifth of the employers thinking highly of these aspects. Then, it is interesting to note that only one out of ten companies treasure the qualifications of the job-seekers.
