The map illustrates the significant differences of Felixstone of the year 1967 and 2001. Overall, Felixstone in 1967, still had farmland and fewer buildings, whereas, all of that being replaced by certain areas in 2001.
In 1967, up in the North, there was a street, called High Street, which will be splitted into 2 directions, West and East, after passed along the shops. However, the shops in the right side of the street, were replaced with apartments, while, the shops in the left side remained the same. Moreover, there was a huge farmland in the North East, but, being removed and turned into a hotel, which also consisted of pools and tennis courts.
Across the farmland, fish market used to operate there, in addition to that, there was also a pier, which connected to marina. Nevertheless, private beach replaced the fish market, while, pier and marina also got cut off and public beach was being built instead. South West from the High Street, it used to have only several trees, dunes, and a hotel. After 34 years, the hotel was being extended and got a new car park. Consequently, the dunes must be reduced to give some space to car park, also for the turbines, which located near the sea.
