The graph gives information about the average amount of unpaid work in hours per week done by married men and women in different segments.
Looking from an overall perspective, married women in all categories spent more time a week doing unpaid work when compared with men.
As the chart portrays, 30 hours a week was the time frame for women who had no child to take part in unpaid work, while men in the same section did such jobs for less than 19 hours. There was a significant variation when having 1-2 offspring that women invested somewhat more time at 50 hours. This number continued to rise by 10 hours in women who possessed three-plus children. That showed more time for unpaid work for women was the consequence of having more children. Interestingly, the number of unpaid working hours, which men involved in did not be affected by the number of their offspring. To be precise, an equal hour spent by men with less than two children and had a slight drop in the lass segments for men.
