The given graph illustrates the process of generating electricity in a hydroelectric power station. Overall, it can be seen that besides the power station, there should be a river, a dam along with two reservoirs with different high levels.
To begin with, what are from the river goes through a high-level reservoir where is the dam. The intake there opens in the days and closes in the nights. When it is opened, it allows the water to flow towards the power station, so the electricity will be generating.
Moreover, in the power station, there are reversible turbines which are responsible for the operating generator during the day. The power lines, that are connected to the national grid that will be responsible for the distribution of the energy, are linked with the generator from the other side. This process happens during the day, but if it happens during the night, the water from the low-level reservoir goes through the reversible turbines that are in the power station and will pump the water into the high-level reservoir.
