The diagram illustrates a great information about the progress of making electricity through a hydroelectric power station.
Overall, it is inherent that the process involves 5 mains stages beginning with water collection stemming from the number of rivers and finishing with the supply of power into national grid.
To begin with, after extracting a huge amount of water from rivers, it is such a high level that a reservoir seems to cover these amount. Subsequently, flows of water controlled by a dam which opens by day and closes at night lead to the water pressure that makes the turbines spinning and activating a generator. At the same time, water keeps going to straightforward to a pool with low level. Via a variety of power lines, a significant electricity is provided to national grid.
At the end of the process, during night time, water is pumped into a high-level reservoir from a low one by reversible turbines. It flows backs through the same tunnel in the day time.
