Electricity produced from geothermal energy is depicted, in the form of a diagrammatic representation.

The main source of electricity production is water which comes in contact with hot rocks, in turn, converts into steam, which aids in the production of electricity.

Initially, cold water which is stored above the ground level is pumped down into a narrow tunnel of length 4.5kms. this is called the injection well. From the injection well, cold water passes through hot rocks called the geothermal zone, where the water is heated up. From there the heated water is pumped up through the production well. The hot water reaches a cabin called the condenser, where the water is converted to steam. The hot steam moves into a small pathway to reach the turbine. The turbine is powered up by hot steam which rotates in a continuous swirl like motion. This movement of the turbine powers up the generator, thus electricity is produced.
