Overall, the water poured down by rain flows into different ware bodies, evaporates and form clouds. These clouds, in turn, cause rain again.
To begin, huge porous rocks are present underneath the surface of earth, which leads to flow of water into reservoirs like rivers and lakes. Moreover, a large amount of this water is streamed into sea.
These water bodies act as sources of massive amount of vapours in atmosphere due to sun heat. Also, trees contribute to vapour formation by the process of transpiration. As a result, wind cools these vapours and converts them into clouds. A further fall in temperature leads to raining and absorption of water into porous rocks. Hence, the cycle continues.
