The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams illustrate the mechanism of a wave energy machine operations and choosing its installation location.
Firstly, let us discuss about its design and function.
Wave energy machine has two chambers, lower chamber and upper chamber. Lower chamber is placed half in water and upper chamber is placed above the lower chamber. Two turbines are placed in upper chamber attached with electricty generator. Here, two openings are provided for air to flow from lower chamber to upper chamber and wiseversa.
Now, lets discuss the operations.
As the waves generate air flow from lower chamber to upper chamber, the turbines starts rotate. Here the energy is generated by the energy generator when turbines start rotate.
Lastly, lets discuss about the location of placine wave energy machine as we can see placing the machine deap in to the see where large waves occur gives high output of energy generation but it expencive compared to the machine installed near the shore where small waves occur.
