The table illustrates 100000 British visits abroad and the reasons for their travels according to a survey reported from 1994 to 1998. At the same time, the bar chart presents the destinations of these people.
Overall, the number of travellers among 100000 UK residents increased steadily over the period and they travelled overseas mostly on holidays. By the way, the main destination of these people was Western Europe.

According to the table, in 1994, about 19000 British travelled to Western Europe, which almost fourfolded the number of travellers in North America and other regions (1000 and 2000 respectively). In 1995, the number slightly decreased to over 16000 but surged to nearly 25000 in 1998. Meanwhile, the quantity of UK travellers to North America and other areas kept rising in a low proportion over the period.
