The bar graph reports the number of children born in five countries namely Thailand, Spain, Somalia, Mexico, and India during the specific years of 1970 and 2000.

Overall, in 1970, the birth rate was considerably higher than in the year 2000. In addition, Thailand and Spain had the highest recorded birth rate in the year 1970, whereas the most consistent one was Somalia with the same birth rate in both the years. Finally, Mexico had the least birth rate in the year 2000.

First of all, in the year 1970, the country with the lion’s share of birth rate was Thailand and after that with a difference of 4 million Spain occupies the second spot. Mexico comes in third place, at 3.6 million, whereas India and Somalia take forth and five-place, at 3.2 million and 3.1 million respectively.

According to the bar chart, India was the only country whose birth rate increased from 3.1 million to 3.3 million when considering both years, and it had the largest share in birth date during the specific year 2000. Moving on, Somalia and Thailand had almost the same amount of birth rate in the year 2000. In the last, Spain and Mexico sitting at the bottom place, at 2.2 million and 1.2 million respectively.
