The flow chart shows 'trampling', the negative effect of tourists walking in the countryside for the environment. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features.
The process diagram gives information on how tourists’ trampling negatively affects the environment when they visit the countryside.
It is clearly seen that the process of trampling has a detrimental effect on the quality of soil and vegetation.
In the first stage, trampling happens when tourists walk through the places and their feet flatten the grass. As a result, these activities pose two serious consequences for the environment. The first effect is natural plants. Under the pressure of their feet, plants become weaker and they also do not grow or reproduce. Therefore, the greenery declined significantly.
The other result of tourists walking is the soil compacted which decreases air and water quality. Consequently, water runs off the land, and erosion rises rapidly. Moreover, the standard of land impacts the development of plants so they can not grow and self-propagate, which means the vegetation was reduced. In the end, the countryside suffers not only erosion but also the poor quality of soil and vegetation.
