The given chart reveals the statistics of energy usage in the USA since 1980 with some predictions until 2030 through many different types of energy. Overall, there is a wide disparity in comsumption levels of fossil energy and renewable energy.
Regarding the group of sustainable energy, all three figure stood at 3 quadrillion unit at the beginning and slight increased to about 5 quadrillion through the next decade. For the rest time scale, hydropower and solar usage level registered an wild fluctuations, contrary to the upward trend in nuclear energy consumption.
Concerning the group of fossil energy, it seem that this is the dominant source of energy in all the timelines. Accordingly, the statistic for coal, natural gas and petrol stood at 16,20 and 35 quadrililion unit, respectively. As an evident from the graph, while the coal usages kept rising and did not manifest any sign of decrease, that of the petrol usage and natural gas usage recorded opposite pattern. More detail, the period from 1980 to 2000 witnessed some slack in both categories but returned to its main trend afterward.
