The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about the consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The line graph illustrates how much energy was consumed in the USA from 1980 to 2020 and is forecasted for the next 10 years.
What stands out from the graph is that Petrol and Oil are always consumed the most fuel over the 50 years, while other energies were not changed too much, except Coal and Natural Gas had a slight rise at the same time.
Looking at the graph for more detail, the number of Petro and Oil witnessed a minimal fluctuation in the first 15 years then it continued to grow up gradually and was evaluated that it will become the popular energy in the future. Whereas Coal was just begging with more than 15 units, however, as projections, that figure was higher than that at the first time approximately 2 times. To continue another feature, There was a fluctuation in the figure for Natural Gas from 1980 to 2015 but after that instead of going on with an increase, it will remain unchanged over the period of suggestion.
Turning to the other features, all 3 remaining energies started at less than 5 units then Nuclear and Solar/Wind had a progress change and they are calculated that they will make up 9 and 7 units in 2030. On the other hand, the number of Hydropower declined moderately and will become the lowest figure in the future.
