Overall, the emission of carbon dioxide is found to be following a similar pattern in Italy and Portugal which had an increasing trend with countable fluctuation. In Contrast, the United Kingdom and Sweden had a downfall in which the former had a steady decline and the latter one reached to its highest, at once during the first decade. And fell correspondingly for the next ten years after which it had gradual declination.
In the initial year, 1967 discharge of carbon-dioxide in Italy was slightly above than four metric ton which in the next ten year reached to above six metric ton. After that in the year 1997, the data reached near to eight and levelled off since. Similarly, in Portugal, the emission was at its minimum around one metric ton and in the next 20 years, it showed steady increment. Subsequently, the statistics had drastic raise for some time ahead of 1997 and it stabilized.
On the contrary, Sweden after a drastic increment had its highest peak of the first ten years in 1997, reaching to above ten metric ton which then fell vividly till 1987, reaching the point of around seven metric tons, and for the rest of the time it followed steady declination, reaching to the record of six metric tons. Regarding the United Kingdom, the statistic had steady downfall for the entire period.
