The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The provides line graph illustrates the amount of consumed fish, lamb, beef and chicken in grams per person per week in a European country in a 25 year period.

Overall it can be seen that the consumption of chicken rocketed by the end of the period and that fish was the least favorite food.

According to the data, in 1979 nearly 220gr of beef were eaten weekly, whereas less than 150gr of chicken. During the years, beef declined significantly and chicken sharply until 1989, when both of them were consumed equally by the country's citizens. However, from that year on, chicken experienced a major increase and finally hit over 250gr per week in 2004, nearly 100gr more than beef in the same year.

Despite the fact that at the beginning lamb had the second place in the consumption, with over that 150gr per week, it shown a gradual fall by 2004, while the preference of fish was 50gr in 1979 and remained almost the same throughout the years until the end of the period.
